Kelly Martinez, PMHNP-BC

Kelly Martinez MSN, RN, PMHNP-BC graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013. Kelly began her career as a Stem Cell Transplantation RN working with patients suffering from hematological cancers. Her work with this particular population materialized into the realization that she wanted to pursue an education that would treat those suffering from mental health ailments. She went on to graduate from the University of Texas Houston with a Master’s of Science in Nursing, specializing in Psychiatry. Kelly is a licensed Nurse Practitioner board certified by the American Academy Nurse Credentialing Center and licensed by the state of Texas to provide psychiatric care to patients of all ages. Her scope of practice here at The Solace Center includes the promotion of mental health along with the diagnosis and management of behavioral matters.  Her patient clientele ranges from adolescents to seniors.

Kelly possesses strong clinical skills accompanied by the natural ability to build and maintain rapport with those she interacts with. She incorporates evidence-based guidelines along with her clinical experience in order to deduce professional assessments.  Her personal observation and intuition has been known to complement her work in a medical capacity. Kelly prioritizes trust and confidentiality between herself and patients above all else. Her goal is to make a connection with her patients so that she may instill self-sustaining motivation that will persevere and have a lasting effect. 

While not at work, Kelly enjoys crafting and traveling to new places with her husband and their six children.
