Elizabeth Olorunsogo, PMHNP-BC
Elizabeth Olorunsogo (Liz) is a board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Liz earned a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Austin. She began her career as an Orthopedic nurse at Houston Methodist Hospital in the Texas Medical Center. After 2 years as an Orthopedic nurse Liz expanded her nursing knowledge by joining the Float team at her hospital where she was exposed to a variety of specialties, including Psychiatry. Early on in her career as a bedside nurse, Liz recognized that there is a gap between physical and mental health care. She saw firsthand that patient’s mental health needs were often under addressed. Her passion for a holistic care approach, motivated her to further her education to be able to treat patient’s experiencing mental health illnesses.
Liz graduated with a Master’s of Science in Nursing with a specialty in Psychiatry from the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston in 2017. Shortly after, Liz joined The Solace Center team. Liz is licensed by the state of Texas to practice as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Psychiatric-Mental Health care. Her scope of practice includes but is not limited to: diagnosing and treating common psychiatric illness/disorders for individuals of all ages and management of mood and behavioral problems. She provides mental health services in outpatient practice and also as an inpatient psychiatric consultant. Her patient clientele ranges from adolescents to Geriatrics. Liz strives to build an empathetic therapeutic relationship with her patients as well as provide individualized patient & family centered care.
Outside of her career, Liz enjoys being social, traveling, & spending quality time with her loved ones.
