Prashant Gajwani, M.D.
Dr. Prashant Gajwani is a board-certified psychiatrist and is considered a national leader in the treatment of mood disorders. He was recently nominated as one of the Top Doctors in Houston for 2013, 2014, and 2015. He has published many peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and has trained numerous medical students, including psychiatry residents. Most recently, he was the Vice-Chairman in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Texas, Houston. He played a critical role in the expansion of UT physicians’ clinics to Houston suburbs while at the same time supervising 15 clinics and a team of 40 psychiatrists and therapists. Prior to that, he worked as an Associate Professor for a decade at Case Western Reserve University under the mentorship of the world’s foremost authority on Mood Disorders, Dr. Joseph Calabrese. He has trained at one of the most premier academic institutes — the world renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation. His areas of expertise include, but are not limited to. the following: Affective Mood Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, Attention Deficit Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders etc.
